Forgotten Fire Winery
Forgotten Fire Winery is located in Marinette, WI. The winery is owned and operated year round by Lindsay and Joe Callow. The 20 acre winery is on land that was once ravaged by the Peshtigo Fire of 1871. The winery takes its moniker from the Peshtigo Fire being overshadowed by burning the same day as the Chicago Fire. Though the Peshtigo Fire was much larger and devastating, the news of the Chicago Fire often leaves Peshtigo Forgotten.
The Winery features excellent fruit wines from Wisconsin growers featuring Door County Apples and Cherries from Sister Bay, and Cranberries from Nekoosa. Winemaker Joe Callow uses Midwestern grown grapes in creative styles and blends. The winery offers free tastings of their wines, which range from dry to sweet, and is sure to have a wine for every occasion.
