Stone's Throw Winery was established in 1997 by Russel Turco. The winery is housed in a reclaimed 90-year-old stone barn in Door County. Stone's Throw Winery includes a vineyard, tasting rooms, bocce ball courts and beautiful picnic grounds. We are open year-round for wine tastings. Our Aventura Wine Club offers members exclusively released wines every six to eight weeks.

Stone's Throw wines are made with premium grapes from vineyards in California's Mendocino, Napa and Sonoma counties. The grapes are transported to Wisconsin in 36 hours after harvest. Our dedicated winemaker then begins a one-barrel-at a time winemaking process utilizing traditional practices, such as small tank fermentation, the use of oak barrels and an impeccable attention to detail. Currently, our cellar offers our efforts from the 2005-2007 vintages, including handmade examples of Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Pinot Grigio and Riesling, to name a few.
